If you have decided to start your business of tire recycling, I hope the experience of "Ecoproduct, LLC" will be useful for you. I'll try to be most open, telling about the difficulties that await you on this path, as well as on the prospects of this branch.
First, I will give you a few tips:
- This business is profitable only with a stable volume of processing at least 100 tonnes/month. The resulting products are sold only at certain minimal supplies, and not forget about conditionally fixed costs.
- This business is impossible, if not to engage the further processing of the obtained products (carbon at least).
- Do not waste time examining the cyclic pyrolysis or scrap tires into crumbs. The daily temperature difference in discontinuous pyrolysis is 400C which is leading to endless repairs. Carbon has a sharp smell, as in the cooling mode, it absorbs the remaining pair of pyrolysis liquid. Difficulties in operation during the winter, the need to have a few reactors in the work to avoid the use of additional sources of heating. The processing in a crumb wastes a lot of electric energy, and the final product has not enough demand (to our company for recycling were sent to tens of tons of useless rubber crumb).
- Choose the place of the plant throughly. In addition to the mandatory sanitary - protective zone you better try to find the consumers of hot water or heating (greenhouses etc.).
